A mainstay throughout her career has been an innate ability to illustrate
impact, regardless of industry, audience, platform or circumstance.
Ask anyone who has worked with Lianne and they will likely share that she
is a passionate storyteller, with a keen listening ear who asks thought-provoking questions and cuts to the heart of
any subject matter quickly and with empathy and compassion.
An award-winning journalist, Lianne started her career as an on-air presenter at The
Weather Network, before moving to CTV, where she was a news reporter and anchor covering daily news, then sports
(her dream job!) in one of Canada’s most dynamic newsrooms in Montréal, Québec, Canada.
Shortly after having her first child, she added entrepreneur to her portfolio, creating Canada’s first production company dedicated to producing quality, visual resources for parents.
From its start selling award-winning VHS and DVDs at Wal-Mart, Costco, Barnes & Noble and
Amazon, Where Parents Talk has grown and evolved — with a radio show, tv show, national magazine columns, a book,
and currently a weekly radio show, podcast, and online hub for parenting information — rooted in science, evidence
and lived experience.
Lianne has also worked in several national newsrooms in Canada, as a host, reporter,
anchor, producer and line-up editor.

Along the way, she pivoted to communications, marketing, media and public relations roles
in: not-for-profit (Ronald McDonald House Toronto), healthcare (Peter Munk Cardiac Centre at Toronto General
Hospital) and education (St. Michael’s College School and Bayview Glen School).
Crafting compelling, impactful content (magazines, videos, web stories, interviews,
podcasts campaigns, ads, signage, etc.), under tight timelines and even tighter budgets is something she excels at.
Her trademark is big-picture, out-of-the-box, strategic thinking. Crafting fresh ideas,
wrapped in innovative tactics and delivering all of it with impact.
A continuous learner, Lianne has been a guest teacher at her alma mater Ryerson University (Toronto Metropolitan University), serves on a Board (Future Aces Foundation), hosts a
weekly parenting program on
the radio (105.9 The
Region FM) and is an avid sports follower, spectator and participant (hockey and any
racquet
sport, among others).
She is married with three children, and is always on the look-out for the ‘next big thing’
before anyone else thinks of it!
